Remembering Real Life Superheroes
Chestnut Class had a very exciting morning visiting the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) as part of their topic on superheroes.
Before they even got inside the hangar they put their maths skills to the test to measure a very large bomb!
Once inside, they were all super impressed they were allowed through the red barrier to get up close to the aircraft, and even touch them!
They toured the Dakota, Spitfires, Hurricanes and Lancaster, and everyone asked lots of fantastic questions. The whole class got to sit in the Dakota and climb aboard the Lancaster.
It really made everyone think about the real life superheroes who flew and maintained these aircraft all those years ago.
