St Hugh’s Blues

We enjoyed a very competitive set of five 12 minute matches in our festival. Although we found it tricky to score many goals, the boys showed extraordinary spirit and determination in their general play. There were some excellent performances on display: Rory P was non-stop in every game and battled hard to win the ball. George P showed some classy touches and calmness in possession, Josh F was another dynamo in midfield and scored a couple of well taken goals (with his right foot!). These three were superbly supported by Edward R who grew in stature with every match, with Elijah alert in goal and the persistent Callan pitching in with useful tackles. Edward P also made a few handy blocks in our area. Games were mostly decided by the odd goal and were very even throughout the afternoon. There were moments of very good passing and I was extremely proud of the effort and endeavour of the team in each game.
