We travelled to Stamford for a tough afternoon’s rugby against some pretty strong A teams (most of whom also had a B team playing in another group). In the space of 90 minutes we played five matches pretty much back to back. We have a squad of 8 boys and as the games are 8-a-side there are no replacements, so the boys have to play every minute and not get injured!
We put in a fantastic performance in every match. We took the lead against both Witham Hall and Copthill but couldn’t quite hold on. We came back from 4-2 down against Stamford to draw 4-4 and then got the better of Leicester Grammar school in our forth match to win 4-2. By the time we played Brooke Priory we were beginning to tire but still tried really hard until the end. Well done boys, some fantastic rugby!
