Result: Wins, Draws and Losses!

The U11 girls were pleased to play in their first fixture of the season, following a cancellation last week due to the weather. All Year 5 and 6 girls travelled to Stamford for a friendly festival which saw them face schools such as Laxton, Peterborough, Witham, Brooke Priory and the hosts, Stamford. With six courts in action, it was a busy afternoon and it was super to see so many young people enjoying the game. Some schools played mixed ability sides with others grading their teams. With sixteen girls, we decided to field three graded teams to give the girls as much court time as possible. This was certainly beneficial with it being early on in the season. All three teams played a variety of opposition and we had a mixture of wins, draws and losses. It was great to see the girls working hard to create attacking opportunities with a number of girls scoring when playing GA/GS. We look forward to playing Highfields and Burton Hathow next week at home.
