Team 1

Results: Copthill 0-2 L, Witham 1-1 D, Grantham 1-2 L, Stamford 5-0 W

It was another trip to Stamford on Wednesday for the Y5 & 6 Girls. This week we faced U11 sides from a large range of schools and it was great to meet different opposition. Though cold, the conditions were far more favourable than our last visit and it was lovely to see the sun shining! We continued in the same teams, with the girls rotating and playing in the positions they did not play in during the first festival.

Team 1, captained by Jemima, had a mixture of results with some well matched games. There were some super turnovers, many won by India who intercepted the ball a good number of times. However, we also lost possession due to rushed passes so we worked hard to hold the ball a little longer, as well as holding space, something we have been developing in training. Our scorers this week were Annabelle and India.
