Take Your Seat in St Hugh’s History: The Centenary Seating Appeal
Our Vision: Transforming the Forbes Hall
The Forbes Hall is central to life at St Hugh's. It's where we gather for assemblies, celebrate achievements, marvel at school productions, and is the hub of the school where the past meets the present. Looking to the future, however, its potential is limited by its current seating, which is inflexible and time-consuming to manage.
Our Centenary project will install a modern, high-quality retractable seating system. This transformational upgrade will allow us to convert the space with ease and speed, turning it from a full-scale theatre one day to an open hall for exams or a formal dinner the next. This will unlock incredible new opportunities for our pupils in drama, music, sport, and academics for the next 100 years.
Your Opportunity: Sponsor a Seat for £250
To make this vision a reality, we need to raise funds for the 226 seats that will make up our new auditorium. We invite you to play a personal and lasting part in this project by sponsoring one or more seats.
For a donation of £250 per seat, you can create a lasting tribute that will be seen by generations of pupils, parents, and staff. Each sponsored seat will be marked with a small, elegant plaque inscribed with your chosen name or message.
This is a wonderful opportunity to:
- Celebrate your family's connection to St Hugh's.
- Honour a beloved teacher or staff member.
- Commemorate your child's time at the school.
- Leave a legacy in memory of a loved one.
- Mark your time with us as a pupil.
Our Goal
Our ambition is to have all 226 seats sponsored, raising a total of £56,500 towards this transformative project.
How to Donate
Sponsoring your seat is simple. Please contact the school office by phone or email to make your contribution and specify the inscription for your plaque. If you are able to Gift Aid your donation, we would be extremely grateful.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to leave a permanent mark on St Hugh's. With your generous support, we can build a facility that truly reflects the ambition and spirit of our community as we step into our second century.
Yours sincerely,
