Result: Lost 4-1

The U11 girls not involved in Home fixtures travelled to Oakham for a 7-aside hockey fixture. With Annabelle as captain, the team worked well together and were able to to utilise the wings well on occasion to drive the ball forwards. Jemima worked incredibly hard in centre midfield and was ably supported by Lulu, Tabitha and Annabelle (who scored in the first half). Despite plenty of action in the attacking D, the team were not always able to translate this into goals, but were not disheartened and kept working hard. In defence, there were some great pushes out wide by Frankie, Michelle and Alicia and some fantastic saves by Megan. After two 20 minute halves, the final score was 4-1 to Oakham, but the girls really impressed with their perseverance and effort. Girl of the game was Jemima. Well done, ladies!
