St Hugh’s U11’s welcomed Ranby and Wisbech this week for a triangular festival. The stage was set for a great afternoon of Rugby and the U11 boys warmed up well whilst awaiting our visitors. Both teams were unfortunately running late, so we kicked off the first game with the first team to arrive, which was Ranby. St Hugh’s boys played well with the ball in hand and scored some great team tries. 4 tries in total to take the game 4 - 0. The boys then had a breather whilst Ranby played Wisbech. Pleasing to see was that the boys took this time to support the other St Hugh’s teams playing that day. The result from the Ranby and Wisbech game highlighted that this was to be a well matched game. St Hugh’s kicked off their second game with Wisbech and they did not disappoint. A fantastic game of end to end Rugby saw both teams perform exceptionally well. Some great ball carrying and some fantastic tackling from both teams. Unfortunately on this occasion one Wisbech attack slipped our defence and they dotted down to take the game. Nothing to be disappointed about from our U11 boys, a few things to work on to take into the IAPS festival next week. A fantastic display of Rugby, thank you boys and well done.
