Match Report

Result: Bowling against Bedford - 16 overs, 172-5. Batting against Stamford - 15 overs, 158-6 (Both pairs innings)

Boundaries were always going to dominate the scoring today on a small pitch. Having said that, our fielding was below par and many runs were needlessly given away. Bedford scored 19 fours, 2 sixes (and 2 fives from overthrows!). We collected some good wickets here and there - most memorable being Charlie’s direct hit run out from mid-on.

Batting against Stamford, we also found the boundary regularly. James (16 n.o.), Euan (16 n.o.) and Rory (34-1) all scored sixes, and the running between the wickets and communication was slick. Both Rory and Euan looked sharp and timed some glorious cover drives to the boundary.

Well done, boys - some impressive batting; we need to tighten up with our fielding though!
