On Wednesday the 5th of December the U13 Girls' Hockey team played a triangular at home against King Edward VI Spilsby and Barnes Wallis.

In our first games against KEVIS we were quite dominant despite some early poor passing.  We scored after 1 minute from a penalty corner as Pippa S rifled a shot low to the right of the goal.  It was 7 minutes before we got our second, again from Pippa and then on 9 minutes Captain Georgina H scored the 3rd of the half.

In the second half Grace S got in on the action before a second half hat-trick from Pippa.  The final score was St. Hugh's 7 KEVIS 0.

Our second game against Barnes Wallis was a much closer affair as the opposition played passing hockey and were moving well off the ball.  However, Pippa scored again from a short corner on 3 minutes before Emily S scored a minute later.  In the second half Emily got her second of the game and the final goal of the season with a well struck goal.  The final score was 3-0 to St. Hugh's.

The girls have had a very encouraging season and have performed particularly well in tournaments and triangulars.  They have been well captained by Georgina with all the girls stepping up when needed.  They have been a pleasure to coach and as a consequence, we were delighted to treat them to an end of season dinner at Zucci's.
