Match Report
On Saturday 11th November the U13 girls travelled away to play a Stamford U12 A team. Following a home defeat against a touring Moreton Hall squad, the girls were keen to play like a team. We started strongly as our trademark touch and go from a dead-ball opened up Stamford for Bridie M to push past the keeper. On 7 minutes we doubled our score as Emily S was on hand to sweep the ball home.
On 13 minutes Stamford pulled one back with a shot that managd to squeeze between Ava W's pads. On 17 minutes of the 20 to be played, Stamford equalised as we push up too high attacking and left two of their players unmarked as they counter attacked.
The second half was very even with St. Hugh's probably creating greater chances as the wingers had their best game of the season. It took until the 13th minute before the deadlock was broken as Georgina H swept in at the left hand post. The girls managed to close out the game and win with the final score of 3-2. Next up Wellow away on Wednesday!
