Result: 45 - 20 (9 - 4) W

Teamwork makes the dream work. This was undoubtedly the best performance of the season thus far. The U13 boys really stepped up and demonstrated what they can do on the rugby field. We arrived early at De Aston and managed a good warm up before kicking off. The game started slow but picked up momentum when Rico managed to find some space on the wing and with some fancy footwork crossed the tryline. This was the catalyst for a wealth of tries in the first half. 5 tries to 3 in the first half with: Rico (3), Aydin (1) and Huxley (1).  The second half we were short of two players due to sickness and injury, so a large De Aston squad gave us two players to get the boys more game time. St Hugh’s boys welcomed these players and incorporated them into some great team tries. 4 tries to 1 in the second with: Huxley (1), Aydin (2) and Rico (1). The game this week was a great team effort from all 13 boys that represented the school. Other mentions should go to: Dan for some great scrummaging, Wilf for some fantastic rucking and Ted for some excellent distribution of the ball. A great result for the boys and the school, we continue to grow and develop as a team as we move through the season. Well done boys!
