Result: Lost 5-4

The U13 rugby team travelled to Stamford reminiscing that, due to the disruption of the last couple of years, it was the first time they had been back there since Year 5. Daniel scored in the corner that day and so it was fitting that Daniel scored the first try this time after a surging run down the wing. However, after starting the game so well, we then started to play laterally which played into the hands of what was a large Stamford team who, by half time, had taken a comfortable lead. The second half was much better with us trying to go forward much more though some took running with the ball too literally and forgot to pass! Slowly we worked our way back into the game and, with tries from Thomas, Elliot and Harry H, the scores were level with a few minutes to go. However, Stamford then scored a try in the corner to make the final score 5-4. Overall it was a much better second half but we need to make sure next week that we play consistently well throughout if we are to finish with a win.
