Match Report

Result: Lost 4-6 (20-30)

A long bus journey to Hull for the U13 boys this week. Behaviour and attitude on the bus was exemplary and we arrived at Tranby in plenty of time for Huxley and Rico to take the boys through a good warm up. The first third we were, as last week, slow to come out of the blocks. We watched Tranby run in a number of tries, but this did not deter our boys and heads did not drop. The second third was totally different. We scored some fantastic team tries and turned over a lot of ball from Tranby to win the second third. The final third both teams appeared quite tired with a number of fumbled balls and missed tackles. Unfortunately Tranby finished on top in this third. Some great passing on display from Wilf, Ted, Huxley and Spike was great to see. Also some solid tackling from Elliott and Brandon has secured them captain and vice captain for next week. We go again in our next fixture aiming to be that little bit better game on game.
