Match Report:

Result: Lost 8-6

The girls, after convincingly beating a Worksop B team away earlier in the season faced a harder opposition on Wednesday. With our regular goalie Ruby unavailable Annabel T stepped in at literally the last minute and donned the pads. 

Beth scored on three minutes only for Worksop to reply with two goals. However, Beth got her second and equalized on six minutes. Worksop took the lead again after eight minutes. On 14 minutes we equalized again and then took the lead in the last minute of the first half… only for them to equalize with 20 seconds left. Half time was a four all draw.

After the turn around, Beth got her 5th of the game and so the score stood until the 14th minute. Then Worksop scored two unanswered goals as their big hits from the back split our defence. The last minute of the game saw three goals! They scored two but Beth was to have the last word as she scored with seconds left. Final score 8-6 to Worksop. Although the parents enjoyed the high scoring game the coach wasn't as pleased with the lack of cohesion.  Annabel did well in goal but we did miss our talisman Ruby. Girl of the game was Henrietta.
