Testing weather conditions added spice to this tie with frequent heavy downpours soaking the players, the pitch, the ageing referee and the hardy home supporters. Despite these challenges we dealt well with our handling and strung together many good passing moves. Elliot, Dan and Archer produced their usual displays of weaving, elusive running through the opposition to score. Jackson saw a lot of the action providing excellent support for the ball carrier and timing his runs well to receive the ball whilst on the move. Kai showed assured handling and an eye for the space in front of him to open the scoring and sharp reflexes to grab opposition tags. We maintained our concentration well throughout the game and in spite of increasingly numbed hands, by the end of the game we ended all honours even in a very high scoring match.
