Match Reports
U9C Team
Result: Won 261-234
Layla and Lulu opened the batting and scored 16 runs with some good communication. Next was Rosie and Agatha who were bowled quite a few wides and needed to take the opportunities to get a few more runs.
Noah, Holden and Edmund were the next combination of batters and worked well together. Last pair were Coco and Penelope who batted well but needed to watch to see if they could sneak a few easy runs when there is a lapse of concentration in the field.
Bowling has improved considerably, two wickets were bowled. Coco did hit the stumps but sadly she was over the crease by some way.
The fielders on the whole concentrated well but on a few occasions the ball rolled onto the boundary.
Well done team!
U9D Team
Result: Won 110-57
We decided to bat first and Thomas and Tallulah started off with a couple of runs and were very eager to run in between the wickets. Next was April and Tara and they added another couple of runs with some great teamwork. Then Olivia and Callan were up to the crease and they added even more runs with some cheeky runs on wides and no balls. Olivia scored 12 runs with 3 boundaries on her over with some fantastic hitting. Finally, Emily, Arabella and Aaron were up and they kept on adding to the total with runs. Now it was time to bowl and St Hugh's kept the pressure on with some improved bowling skills. There were a lot less no balls and wides called, with Tara, April and Callan getting wickets. Overall this was a fantastic match with great improvements from everyone. Well done St Hugh's.
