Match Report

We welcomed Wellow House on Wednesday afternoon and though they were slightly depleted in number, all our Year 3 and 4 pupils got to represent the school in their respective teams. With three 5-a-side teams, every player got lots of court time and played in a variety of positions.

Thunder

Mrs Felton had a real treat this week and thoroughly enjoyed umpiring this game which was played indoors on a much larger court than the girls have been used to! It was great to have the additional space on court and throughout the match our players began to use this to their advantage. Our knowledge of positioning and rules has really developed over the course of the season and this was very apparent during the match. There were some lovely phases of play and the team worked well for one another to transition the ball up court. As a result, we dominated possession and found ourselves scoring goals to take us into the lead. The girls learned a lot during the match and both teams responded well to the coaching points given throughout the game. A very confident win by the St Hugh’s side. Well done!
