The U10 team started off the season with a tricky match against Burton Hathow in wet, slippery and cold conditions. After a quick warm up lead by the captain Annabel the girls were ready to start, in the first quarter both sides were well matched with both teams trying to score and not quite getting the ball in the net. After a brief talk highlighting some areas to work on for the 2nd quarter the girls made an improvement with passing the ball more quickly and creating more space which lead Peiya and Emily to score. Unfortunately so did the opposition. The 3rd quarter started off the same with both teams making space and quick ball work led to Annabel T scoring and the opposition. In the 4th quarter the girls were determined to get the scores level however, some good passes and some accurate scoring from the opposition pulled them ahead. The final score was 7-3 to Burton Hathow but it was a great first match with lots of positives and areas to work on.
