Match Report:

Result: Won 4, Lost 1

The U9 team travelled to Barlborough Hall School to play in a hockey festival. This was the first inter school hockey match for all the girls and they did really well. The games were on grass which meant it was difficult to hit the ball hard, so the field of play tended to get a bit congested. However, when we did spread the ball wide our speed and determination allowed us to create lots of chances. We scored 14 goals in the 5 matches and only conceded 2. Excellent defending by Emily, Coco, India, April and Lulu allowed the attacking players to score. Leyla, Tabitha and Charlotte played well on the wings and Frankie and Penelope were very effective strikers. Four wins and only one close defeat(1-0) shows how well the team played. A great start to the season, girls!
