Match Report

A Team

Result: Win 7-0

At last the girls had their first fixture at home against Lincoln Minster. After a tentative start the girls got into the game. At times the passing and movement was slick. The positions were rotated throughout the game to try to even out the game. The girls are starting to play as a team. The girls love playing on the astro.

Captain for this match was Frankie B, who played well despite her headache.

Goals: Frankie 2, Penelope  2, Charlotte, Lulu and Layla.

B Team

Result: Win 2-1

For many of the girls, this was their first ever hockey match against another school. Despite some initial nerves, the girls soon got stuck in and communicated well with each other throughout the game. At half time, after April (the Captain for this match) discussed some tactics with the team, the positions were rotated and the girls made some really great passes for the remainder of the match. Two goals were scored in quick succession and it was great to see the girls working so well as a team!
