England Roses v NZ Ferns Trip

We had our first ‘Match Day Experience’ of the year last Saturday with a fantastic group of young people, ranging from Year 4 to Year 8. We made the journey down to the home of England Rugby early Saturday morning for a 3.00pm KO at the Allianz Stadium.

We opted for the Red Roses v New Zealand Black Ferns as our first ‘Match Day Experience' Trip of the Year, as we enter a new era which sees our Year 3 and 4 pupils benefitting from a broad offering via a rotation of sports.

Our Year 4 girls and boys are the first to experience this, playing rugby together for the first time - what a positive start it has been! From watching them play in their first contact match against a touring side on the Friday, to seeing them inspired by the Red Roses amongst a crowd just short of 60,000 was fabulous!

Thank you to all pupils for a great day and a particular thanks go to my colleagues, Mr Short, Mrs Stevenson and Mr Ferguson for giving up their Saturday to enable this trip.
