St Hugh's School has some outstanding facilities with both academic and sporting pursuits benefiting in equal measure.

The excellent teaching facilities here at St Hugh's include:

  • spacious modern classrooms, all equipped with interactive whiteboards and accommodating class sizes averaging 14 pupils;
  • an extensive Library with a wide range of authors, some of whom the pupils also get the opportunity to meet;
  • a fine Music School with auditorium and practice rooms, essential with over 60% of the pupils for Year 3 upwards studying a musical instrument;
  • a large Hall with stage and lighting for dramatic productions used by every child each year;
  • excellent ICT provision with an extensive network and wireless linked laptops and tablets, used both in discrete ICT lessons and across the curriculum;
  • dedicated areas for Art and Pottery; Craft and Design Technology; Home Economics and Textiles;
  • two dedicated science labs;
  • an indoor swimming pool, enabling weekly swimming lessons – twice weekly lessons for our nursery pupils;

  • woods and a tipi for weekly Forest School sessions for all pupils up to Year 6;
