The role: Full time Nursery Room Leader – 2-3 Year Olds

Relevant Level 3 Early Years Qualification 

Interview Date 24th April 2018

Start Date 4th  June 2018

We are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hardworking Nursery Room Leader for our 2-3 Year old room.  You will be joining our dedicated team here at St Hugh’s School. 

The Nursery and Pre-School offers children between the ages of 2 and 4 a wonderfully broad range of learning opportunities; these include Swimming, Forest School, Music and French.  

The role of Nursery Room Leader will be a wonderful opportunity for the right person to continue to develop the outdoor area of the Nursery and experience of Forest Schools will be desirable.  We are also keen for the successful candidate to research the resources and provision needed for ‘In the Moment’ planning and be able to discuss how this will benefit the 2-3 year olds in our care.  Please indicate any training or experience you have in this area.

Finally the job of ‘Holiday Club Manager’ is also available to the right candidate.  Therefore please let us know if you have any experience of staff rotas, registers and statutory requirements.  We also need to know if you are First Aid Trained or Lifeguard Trained and any Safeguarding Training you have will be very important to us.  Please make sure you detail all of these on your application.

The successful candidate will also be able to show how they have

  • worked effectively as part of a team.
  • planned and organised stimulating and engaging provision.
  • developed excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
  • understood the importance of the role of keyworker.
  • contributed to on-going observations and assessments of the children in their care.
  • been flexible and accommodating in their previous settings.
  • taken initiative and continued to develop as an Early Years Professional
