Parents’ Association
The St Hugh’s School Parents’ Association exists with two broad aims – to bring our community together and to raise funds for ‘Wish list’ items together with events that enrich the whole school experience.
We are run by a group of parent volunteers who give their time to organise events during the year and raise money to be spent across all areas of the school from Nursery to Year 8.
‘Wish list’ proposals are put forward by parents, pupils and St Hugh’s staff. Together with the head, the PA committee decide the priorities for their fundraising efforts for the year ahead. It is often the case that a large budget target runs for several years, while many small budget items are met alongside on an annual basis.
St Hugh’s PA are incredibly proud of the past fundraising efforts, and the projects, both large and small which have been facilitated. These include funding for such things as the adventure playground equipment, the Astroturf hockey pitches, forest school Pizza oven, Drama scenery projector, Sports Gazebo, as well as many smaller projects.
Events held in the past have included Summer balls, Christmas fayres, May fayres, quiz nights, tennis friendlies and tapas evenings.
Each and every parent becomes a Parents’ Association member when they join St Hugh’s. If you would like to volunteer to help or you feel you or your business could help our fundraising in any way please get in touch via email pa@st-hughs.lincs.sch.uk
We are always looking for volunteers, especially at events. If you could rise to the challenge, we would love to hear from you.
