Facilities
St Hugh's School has some outstanding facilities with both academic and sporting pursuits benefiting in equal measure.
The excellent teaching facilities here at St Hugh's include:
- spacious modern classrooms, all equipped with interactive whiteboards and accommodating class sizes averaging 14 pupils;
- an extensive Library with a wide range of authors, some of whom the pupils also get the opportunity to meet;
- a fine Music School with auditorium and practice rooms, essential with over 60% of the pupils for Year 3 upwards studying a musical instrument;
- a large Hall with stage and lighting for dramatic productions used by every child each year;
- excellent ICT provision with an extensive network and wireless linked laptops and tablets, used both in discrete ICT lessons and across the curriculum;
- dedicated areas for Art and Pottery; Craft and Design Technology; Home Economics and Textiles;
- two dedicated science labs;
- an indoor swimming pool, enabling weekly swimming lessons – twice weekly lessons for our nursery pupils;
- extensive sports fields for rugby, football, rounders and athletics giving every child the opportunity to represent the school each term;

- woods and a tipi for weekly Forest School sessions for all pupils up to Year 6;
