Lincs Schools County Golf @ South Kyme Golf Club

Match Report

This year we had two St Hugh’s pupils playing in this competition which sees predominately secondary school children competing for their respective schools. Schools require a team of 3 but with only the two highest scores contributing to the team score, St Hugh’s could compete as a team. For both boys, it was their first official competition but they controlled their nerves well - being announced onto the 1st Tee is quite something so well done to them both!

Year 6 pupil, Josh M, was the youngest player in the competition, playing alongside boys in Year 9 & 10. Josh enjoyed his experience and did incredibly well to play 18 holes off the yellow tees, scoring 19 points. Year 8 pupil, Rory S, started a little nervous on the 1st tee but his nerves settled and he very much enjoyed the day. He scored 25 points.  Rory played with former pupils Seb F and a Year 11 Carres student.

Well done to Josh and Rory for putting themselves forward for this competition. I am sure they would be happy to speak about their experience to any keen future golfers.
