On Wednesday afternoon we hosted an athletics event welcoming 32 Ranby athletes as well as 32 of our own. This was a new event on the calendar which saw every athlete competing in four events on a rotation basis, as well as a team relay. Within their teams of four, athletes were ranked 1-4 which provided appropriate competition for all involved. Events included two sprints, a middle distance run, long jump and ball throw. Despite the weather not behaving, the pupils did, and it was great to see all competitors giving their best across the three disciplines of run, jump and throw. Well done! We look forward to building on this event next year.
