Result: Stamford (w), Bedford (w w), Stoneygate (w)
A late call due to weather resulted in this becoming a touch rugby festival but it was an enjoyable, if cold, day on the Burghley Fields. The boys played four, won four and played some of their best running and handling rugby of the season. Without the pressure of the contact zone, some of the athleticism on display was exemplary. Captains Rory, James and Sam led the team well and George’s running was as incisive as ever. Edward, Noah and Ellis played well too, with Edward running in a super individual try. Joshua finished the team tally with some fabulous darting runs and also managed to achieve the unachievable, a nosebleed in a touch rugby tournament! This added a hint of menace to his person which may have explained why no opposition hands were laid on him! Well done to all, a super day.
