Result: Win 10-2

This match was an absolute pleasure to umpire. From the first whistle, the game flowed brilliantly, with lots of movement up and down the pitch and some really positive hockey played by the whole team.
The girls worked incredibly hard throughout, showing great energy and enthusiasm. There were some brilliant passages of play, with the girls beginning to link their passes together really well and looking to move the ball into space. It was particularly pleasing to see them using the width of the pitch and supporting one another both in attack and defence.
We were treated to some fantastic goals from Ottilee, Alexandra and Eme, all of which came from some lovely build up play and determined attacking. The girls were confident going forward, but they also worked hard to get back and defend when Greenwich House were in possession.
We used rolling substitutions throughout the game to make sure there was plenty of pitch time across the whole age group. Every player came on ready to contribute, and the changes never disrupted the flow of the match, which was lovely to see.
What stood out most was how well the girls played as a team. They encouraged one another, kept working right until the final whistle and played the game with a fantastic attitude.
A really enjoyable afternoon of U10 hockey and a performance the girls should be very proud of. Well done, everyone!
