U11 Hockey v Stamford/Ranby/Bilton Grange (A) 2.00pm

The U11 team (minus the cross country team) travelled to Stamford to play against Stamford School, Bilton Grange and Ranby School.
We played Stamford first and generally controlled the game. Despite lots of touches in the opposition D we only scored in the last few minutes to win 1-0.
We played a different Stamford team next and began to pass the ball around more freely. Josh F scored the winning goal and Alistair made some impressive saves. Henry, Miles and Callan also had good chances to score.
Our third game was against Bilton Grange, which we lost 1-0 after Bilton Grange scored from a penalty shuffle. Finally we played Ranby School. Paul and the two Edwards put in some great tackles to keep out Ranby and George P converted a penalty shuffle to put us 1-0 up. In the last seconds Ranby were awarded a penalty shuffle but Alastair rushed off his goal line and the Ranby player put it wide. Another 1-0 win to St Hugh’s.
