U11 IAPS Hockey Tournament - Shield Winners!

The team travelled to the IAPS tournament, hosted by Stamford School, full of determination and team spirit, producing some fantastic hockey throughout the day.

Pool Games
Our opening match against Bedford was a tightly contested game, finishing 0–0. Verity made an outstanding save, stretching wide to deflect a short corner with her stick – setting the tone for a strong defensive performance.
In our second pool game against The Elms, Verity once again denied a certain goal with a superb save, while Harriet found the net at the other end following some beautiful build-up play from Hollie, who distributed the ball with real vision.
Our third pool match saw us take on Beeston, the toughest opponents so far. It was a highly defensive contest, but Charlotte and Hollie stood firm at the back, displaying great composure and teamwork under pressure.

Plate Quarter-Final – vs Nottradam
The girls stepped up once again, securing a 1–0 victory thanks to a calm, clinical finish from Harriet, who went 1v1 with the goalkeeper. Verity pulled off several fantastic saves to preserve the lead.

Semi-Final – vs Stamford
Another excellent performance saw us win 1–0, with Harriet once again on target after a strong attacking move.

Final – vs St Peter’s
The final ended 0–0 after normal time, leading to a tense round of shuffles. Our players held their nerve, scoring 2 out of 3, while Verity made some tremendous saves to restrict the opposition to just one goal.
This brilliant result meant the team won the IAPS Shield 2025, proudly receiving their well-earned medals after a day of exceptional hockey.
