Match Report
The U11 girls welcomed Grantham Prep for a second fixture this season. St Hugh’s were split into two teams and each got a full match.
Red 4-10 L
The Red team started strong and had some fantastic movement and transitions down the court. Tallulah and Annabelle were on fire with defensive turnovers and worked incredibly hard. Verity showed fantastic stamina and reacted well to jump to intercept the ball. By half time the score was 3-5 to Grantham and the girls had two rotations to go. Grantham had stronger shooters and were able to extend their lead in the second half. Despite missing some of the U11s the team should be really proud of the performance they put out. Congratulations to Emily for being awarded opposition's player of the match.
Navy 7-5 W
The Navy team had a super afternoon of netball and worked hard for each other. The game began incredibly strong and by half time St Hugh’s were up 4-0. It was wonderful to see the shooter to shooter work and team effort from all. Olivia had some good turnovers and Tara was on fire defensively. It was fantastic to see the whole team’s progress and them getting a well deserved win 7-5. Rosie’s shooting was fabulous and was one of the many reasons she was awarded opposition player yesterday.
