Result: Played 3 won 3
Great day of rugby well hosted by Copthill. St Hugh’s played three games, one of which was a touch game and which gave them a perfect warm up. We played Stamford twice and Copthill - and each game showed the boys at their best with Fijian offloads, All Black game play and Springbok rucking! It was a pleasure to see them moving the ball around on big pitches and scoring some wonderful tries. Excellent captaincy throughout from Rory and he steered them to victory in each game. George’s running was incisive and Sam led from the front, stripping the ball from the opposition in contact and feeding those outside him. Joshua was excellent on his wing, stepping beautifully to beat contact and Ellis played his best game of the season. Edward B was strong up front and Noah played very well as a link person, shipping the ball quickly and away from contact into space. A really pleasing set of games, well done to all.
