Despite it raining for much of the morning we managed to get the game played, although we used the astro strip rather than the grass wicket. Rory won the toss and asked William Farr to bat first, who got off to a fast start before Rory ran out their captain with a direct hit. William Farr continued to score quite quickly, however Harriet got a wicket with her first delivery and Beau made an excellent stumping off George P to restrict them to 131-3 off 18 overs. They had two very fast opening bowlers so it was always going to be difficult when it was our turn to bat.
George P batted well and Beau top scored with 17 but we finished on 59 for 9 after our 18 overs.
