Result: Lost by 2 runs Won by 6 Wickets
We hosted one of the three girls U13 semi finals against Louth Academy and Caistor Yarborough Schools.
First we played Louth. Tabitha lost the toss and was asked to bat first. We batted well against some quite accurate bowling with both Tabitha and Verity reaching 15 and retiring. We reached 72-5 off our 8 overs. When we bowled we mixed up some excellent bowling and fielding with rather too many wides and no balls, which are worth 3 runs in this competition. We bowled 11 wides which gave Louth an extra 33 runs which unfortunately meant we lost off the last ball. Our bowling was much better against Caistor School and we restricted them to just 42 of their 8 overs. Coco, Verity and Tabitha all bowled particularly well. We then scored our runs off just 4 overs with Olivia B and Harriet batting really well. Harriet won the game with a 6!
Unfortunately for us, Louth won their game against Caistor meaning they went through to the Final.
