Result: 12-1 W
St Hugh’s U13 Girls played against Lincoln Minster U12s on Thursday 14th of November.
We started strongly against a team who swarmed around the ball. Tabitha scored after two minutes from the centre of the D and a minute later Alicia swept in at the back post. Another three minutes later Megan scored from the right. Camilla was back in goal and she was enjoying snuffing out any Lincoln attacks. At the end of the 1st quarter the score was 3-0.
In the second quarter, Captain Jemima scored, followed by Alicia and then Kitty scored three goals in 5 minutes. At half time the score was 8-0.
The team continued to be rotated with the objective to play more expansive, passing hockey as well as trying to feed passes to teammates who had still to score.
In the third quarter Megan and Kitty both scored again.
Into the final quarter and Gemma got her goal. Following this Lincoln scored with a breakaway goal.
With two minutes left and the girls working hard for each other Ela got the final goal of the game.
The final score was 12-1 and Ela was Girl of the Game.
