Result: Lost by 4 runs
Fortunately the rain stopped just before the start, although the wicket and outfield were rather wet. Louth batted first and scored steadily. Their first four batsmen were all very good and despite us bowling tightly (particularly James F, sam H and Rory P) they managed to score 108 -1 off their 16 overs. James getting the only wicket.
We started well , with Rory and and Josh F picking up singles before Josh was out for 11. Josh N joined Rory and continued to play positively, although the run rate required had risen to 8 an over. Rory retired on 35 and edward joined Josh, who was run out going for a risky second. Rory P scored some quick runs, but it came down to the last over with 11 runs required, this was reduced to 4 off the last ball but Sam, who had just arrived at the wicket couldn't quite manage it. An excellent game of cricket. In the post match discussion it was agreed that it was definitely our fielding that let us down!
