U13 Hockey v Tranby (A) 4.00pm

The girls travelled over the Humber Bridge to play Tranby in what is usually a closely fought and constructive fixture and this year proved to be no different.  The only changes to the formation this week were that Camilla and Tallulah swapped their left wing and centre roles.
The game was end to end for the first quarter and it wasn’t until the 12th minute that the deadlock was broken when Tabitha scored and then three minutes later she got her second.  On 17 minutes Tranby pulled one back, only for this to be nullified as Tabitha completed her first half hat-trick in the 18th minute.

The half time score was 3-1 to St Hugh’s.

After the break Tabitha scored her 4th and then Tranby rallied as they pulled back three unanswered goals making the game 4-4 with 4 minutes left.  Agatha kept us in it with a couple of saves until, with 17 seconds left the deadlock was broken… to our advantage as Lillian drove directly through the middle and pushed the ball home.

A 5-4 win to St Hugh’s with the Girl of the Game, as voted for by the opposition, going to Tabitha.
