U13 Mixed Hockey v Bourne GS (H - HHC) 2.15pm

Match Report

Year 7

Result: 2 - 1 Win

A really positive performance from the U13 Mixed Hockey team against Bourne. Everyone played well and worked hard throughout, showing some excellent teamwork and a good understanding of their formation.

There were some lovely passages of play, with the team passing the ball confidently and making particularly good use of the width of the pitch. It was great to see them looking up, finding space and linking passes together to move the ball forward.
Joshua and George both got themselves on the scoresheet with well taken goals, rewarding some strong attacking play from the team.

A great team performance with lots of positives to take forward. Well done to everyone who played!

Year 8

Another very positive performance from the Year 8s. Captain Coco led the warm-up and made sure everyone was prepared and focused before the match – thank you, Coco!  Bourne started strongly and took an early lead, but we quickly responded with a superb equaliser from Lilian. Gen, Lilian and Miles dominated the attacking circle throughout the match, creating plenty of pressure and opportunities.  Bourne managed to steal another goal early in the second half, but once again we responded brilliantly. A superb passage of play up the right wing resulted in another equaliser and kept the game finely balanced.  Tallulah, Coco, Olivia and Emily put in some excellent tackles and worked hard to keep Bourne at bay. Despite our best efforts, Bourne eventually edged ahead to win 3–2.

A really encouraging performance, with plenty of excellent hockey and some great teamwork on display.
