A Team

Result: 2-0 L

The U13A Boys’ Hockey travelled to Worksop to take on their U13A team. Having beaten the U12s at home earlier in the season this promised to be a harder prospect.

We started under the cosh and, unfortunately, drew pressure upon ourselves with weak passes around the back.

It was Worksop who scored first. After 10 minutes, we started to exert more pressure and control in the game and build some attacks. Half-time the score was 1-0 and we were still in a competitive game. In the second half, we continued to pressure and our defence was man marking better. William L had taken on a sweeper role and was working well with Max. Charlie was making runs off the ball up front and Aydin and Rupert were working well down the wings. Unfortunately, it was Worksop who got the second goal of the game. In the dying seconds, Ted made a great save to keep the score reflective of the evenness of the game. Man of the Match was Aydin. 

B Team

Result: 5-0 L

The boys started strong, making it tough for Worksop to break into their attacking D. Worksop were leading 1-0 in the first 20 minutes. Worksop improved in the second half, and despite Toby's great saves, the game ended in a 5-0 loss. The boys played fantastically, with Charles and Toby standing out. Player of the Match was awarded to Toby.
