Result: W 5-0 L 2-0
An away fixture to Oakham was very literally a game of two halves.
We started playing 8 aside against an Oakham Cs team and within 30 seconds Captain Tabitha had put us one up. On 9 minutes Tallulah was on the left post to slot the ball past the keeper. In the second quarter Tabitha scored in the 2nd and 3rd minutes resulting in Oakham’s goalkeeper departing the pitch and them playing with 8 outfield players. Eliza scored in the 8th minute of the second quarter giving a score at half time of 5-0.
For the second half Oakham brought across their B team with a couple of A players too to provide a sterner challenge and so it proved to be. Agatha was put to the test and she rose to the challenge. Tallulah also played her best game of the season as she got stuck in with her tackling and battling hard. Oakham scored in the 5th and 7th minute of the third quarter, but we managed a shut-out in the final quarter as we worked harder as a team defensively.
