The U8 St Hugh’s netball team had a fantastic day at Tranby’s tournament. The girls worked brilliantly as a team in every match and showed how much they have improved since the start of the term.
Georgia and Tilly worked very well together as an attacking pair, moving into space and supporting each other down the court. Halle scored some excellent goals, showing great confidence in the shooting circle. Ophelia made some fantastic interceptions, helping to turn over the ball at important moments.
Charlotte F and Olivia did a great job marking the space in the D and putting pressure on the opposition shooters. Iona and Verity’s passing has really improved since the beginning of the term, and it was wonderful to see their confidence growing in each game. Charlotte B worked extremely hard at centre, moving around the court tirelessly and finding space to link defence and attack.
The girls won 4 matches and drew 1, which is a brilliant overall result for the team. Most importantly, they supported one another, communicated well, and played with great teamwork throughout the tournament.
