Result: SHS Tigers 15-15 Draw
A mixed Year 3/4 team enjoyed a damp home fixture against Ayscoughfee. Played in four quarters, there was a bit of chopping and changing to ensure all players got a good crack of the whip. St Hugh’s Tigers started very well and turned over the ball frequently. There was once again good, fluent running with the ball and numerous players dodged through nimbly to the try line to score. After our opponents swapped over some players from their other team the contest got tougher. We stepped up our game and tagged superbly which restricted their players somewhat. It was nip and tuck in the last few sections of the match with tries being scored freely at either end. A draw was a good reflection of the balance of play. A good performance; now we need to improve our passing game to share the possession of the ball amongst our team and spread the play across the pitch more.
