This was a tough first fixture but we stuck at the task well and produced a battling performance. With one of their players enrolled at an academy they seemed to dominate the first two quarters of the game. However, as the match went on, we started to string some passes together well and learned best how to deal with their star player. I was impressed by how well we continued to put them under pressure and compete for the ball throughout the game; and we got a deserved goal after a well-crafted move going from defence to attack swiftly and with accurate passes.
