The Year 4 Red Netball team played exceptionally well as a unit. Their shooting was accurate, which helped secure a win in both games: 0-4 in the first game and 2-5 in the second. For next week, our focus will be on creating space and improving off-the-ball movement to enhance the flow down the court.
The Year 4 Blue Team played very well against Ranby, starting off with a strong defence with Niya and Jemima getting some interceptions in the circle. Throughout the game, Bonnie and Abi made some great passes to each other, working the ball down the court into their shooting circle. Emilia was excellent at running into a space on the court, drawing her defenders out. The whole team played amazingly despite the final score!
The Year 3 Blue Team played really well considering that this was their first proper full match. The girls kept their heads up after Ranby scored in the first quarter. They listened to the coaching points and then acted on them during the rest of the match. At half time they were still 1-0 down but in the second half the girls scored 2 goals. Well done Alexandra and Valentina. Unfortunately Ranby did score another goal and the match ended in a draw. The girls played really hard and had fun. Well done girls looking forward to your next match!!
The Year 3 Red Team from the start of the match put their best foot forward against a strong Ranby side. They used a variety of passes to get into the shooting circle and they tried to use the skills we practiced in games. Although they were unsuccessful at scoring they worked hard and had fun. Well done for your first match.
