Y5 & 6 Sports Stars & Ambassadors
Having recently become part of the Repton Family of Schools we were pleased to be able to take our first group of pupils across for a new event hosted by Repton Sports Department. This included our current Sports Ambassadors (Beau and Harriet) as well as a number of Year 5 and 6 pupils who have shown significant potential in one or more of the sports on offer.
The day was structured to allow pupils to participate in a carousel of three sports with pupils opting from Hockey, Football, Tennis, Cricket, Swimming and Netball. These are known to be Repton’s focus sports and sessions were led by their international pedigree coaching staff. Pupils had the chance to enjoy their world class facilities though the weather did lead to some adaptations on the day.
Meanwhile, our sports staff heard from Repton’s new Director of Sport, Gareth James, who talked about Repton’s sports philosophy and vision, followed by a Q&A session. With staff in attendance from some of the other prep schools in the Repton Group, it was also a super opportunity to network and hear about their experience first hand. It was a very insightful and worthwhile day for all involved and we are very grateful to Repton for facilitating this.
