Year 8 World War 2 Workshop
On Friday, Jed from ‘Up and at’em History’ came in to lead a workshop on WW2 - the Year 8 history topic.
There were plenty of artefacts to handle - some of them replica items, but many original, genuine pieces. Pupils had the opportunity to don all sorts of uniforms, try on gas masks and even defuse bombs! We heard about the different theatres of war from WW2 - from the Far East, to Russia, to the Home Front.
There was an awful lot of learning in a very short time, but all with plenty of activity and discussion.
