U10 Brooke Priory Netball Festival (A)

Match Report
This week an U10 netball team travelled to Brooke Priory for a festival. We faced teams from Brooke Priory, St Peter’s, Peterborough, and Stoneygate. It was great to see the girls competing well against teams of their own age and coming away with some wins. Our most competitive match was against the strongest team in the group where we held them to a 3-3 draw up until the final minutes of the game. They were encouraged to slow down play when transitioning the ball up court which improved over the course of the afternoon. Defensively, St Hugh’s worked hard to turn the ball over with some great interceptions and tips. Scorers this week were Harriet, Hetty, Faith and Verity. Well done to Faith who was nominated player of the game against Stoneygate but it was Harriet this week that was recognised for her outstanding athleticism on court and being awarded player’s player for three out of four games.
