Result: L 2-7
With Ralph still injured this was always going to be a tough match, and so it proved. Wisbech are a strong team but we defended well with some excellent tackles particularly from Vinnie, Harvey, George and Hugo. We gained possession a number of times but did not always keep hold of the ball when tackled; we need to ensure that opposition players can not rip the ball from us when we get into a maul. Despite a couple of close attempts we didn't quite score in the first half and were 4-0 down at half time. The second half was much closer with Vinnie scoring 2 excellent individual tries. There were also some impressive runs by Harry, Joseph, Freddie and Charlie that nearly reached the try line. The second half score was 3-2 to Wisbech, a much more even contest and definite improvement.
